Jamestown is a small Missouri town of 280 people in Moniteau County, about 20 miles northwest of Jefferson City via Highway 50 and Highway 87. The route passes through rolling farmland typical of central Missouri's agricultural region. Most visitors come from Jefferson City for the short drive through corn and soybean country. The town's 1898 one-room schoolhouse on Main Street remains a notable piece of local history.
