Jackson is a small South Carolina town of about 1,800 people located 20 miles northwest of Augusta, Georgia. Highway 278 runs right through town, connecting directly to Augusta and continuing toward Anderson. Most visitors exit I-20 and drive about 15 miles north on 278 to reach Jackson. Augusta Regional Airport is 25 miles away for air travelers. The town sits along the historic Hamburg-to-Charleston railroad route, with old rail corridor remnants still visible in the surrounding countryside.
