Jackson is the Cape Girardeau County seat in southeastern Missouri, located 10 miles northwest of Cape Girardeau via US Highway 61. Most visitors take I-55 Exit 99 to reach the city. The historic courthouse square features a 1908 courthouse with a prominent clock tower that chimes every quarter hour throughout downtown.
