Jackson Lake is a tiny farming town in northeastern Colorado, about 75 miles from Denver via I-76 and Highway 144. The community of 238 people sits in Morgan County's agricultural heartland, just 15 miles north of Fort Morgan on a straight rural highway. Most visitors come for the reservoir that gives the town its name, created in the early 1900s as both a water source and recreational spot for the surrounding ranch country.
