Jackson Junction is a tiny farming community in northeast Iowa's Winneshiek County, reachable via Highway 9 west from Decorah, then south on County Road W14. The settlement sits among rolling hills and crop fields about 15 miles from Decorah. Most traffic comes from local farm operations and residents heading to Decorah for services. The historic one-room schoolhouse still stands at the town's edge, a reminder of when it educated local farm children before school consolidation in the 1960s.
