Iuka, a small city of 3,100 in northeastern Mississippi near the Alabama border, serves as Tishomingo County's seat. Highway 25 runs north-south through town, connecting to Corinth 25 miles south and Interstate 22 for longer trips to Memphis or Birmingham. State Route 172 provides east-west access, while the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway passes nearby. The city sits in rolling hill country with a humid subtropical climate. Woodall Mountain, Mississippi's highest point at 806 feet, lies just south of town.
