Iuka is a small farming village in south-central Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of Salem via Route 37. The main access is north-south on Route 37, connecting to I-64 near Mount Vernon. Salem–Leckrone Airport sits just southwest of town. The village post office doubles as an informal community center where locals gather.
