Isola is a small Delta farming town in Mississippi, reachable via Highway 12 from the main north-south route Highway 49. It's about 90 minutes from Jackson and two hours from Memphis through flat cotton country. The town still operates one of the region's few remaining cotton gins, visible from the main highway.
