Isabel is a tiny farming town in south-central Kansas, population 93, sitting along Highway 14 about 60 miles southwest of Medicine Lodge. Most visitors pass through on Highway 14 traveling between larger regional centers, or arrive from Wichita via Highway 160 west to Medicine Lodge. The town's grain elevator stands as a classic Kansas landmark visible from the highway.
