Irondale is a small Missouri town of 622 people in Washington County, about 70 miles southwest of St. Louis. Take Highway 21 south from the city or Highway 67 from the east to reach this rural community in the Ozark foothills. The town sits in former iron mining country and got its name from the iron ore deposits early settlers found in the surrounding hills.
