Inman is a small Upstate South Carolina city of about 3,200 people, located 15 miles southeast of Spartanburg in the Carolina foothills. Take I-26 to Exit 28, then Highway 292 west to reach downtown. Highway 56 connects it to Spartanburg in 20 minutes, while Highway 9 runs east-west through town. The restored 1920s Inman Mills building downtown once housed a major textile operation.
