Impact is a tiny Texas community of 13 people located about 15 miles northwest of Abilene via Interstate 20 and county roads. Visitors typically drive from Abilene Regional Airport, 20 miles southeast, or use it as a stopping point while exploring rural Taylor County. The town got its name from a historic train collision that happened nearby.
