Imlay City is a small agricultural community in eastern Michigan, about an hour northeast of Detroit via I-69 and M-53. The city serves as a regional hub for the Thumb area, with M-21 running east-west through downtown and connecting to Port Huron. The town of 3,700 hosts the annual Eastern Michigan State Fair each September, featuring traditional livestock shows and carnival attractions.
