Hyannis is a tiny Sandhills town of 145 people that serves as Grant County's seat. US Highway 2 runs right through the middle, connecting to Broken Bow (85 miles east) and continuing toward Colorado. The 1928 Grant County Courthouse with its prominent clock tower dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles away across the rolling grasslands.
