Huxley is a small Iowa town of 4,500 people located 10 miles northeast of Ames via Highway 69. Take I-35 north from Des Moines to Exit 113, then Highway 210 west to Highway 69 north. The restored 1913 Historical Society building downtown preserves artifacts from the town's original railroad depot days.
