Huttonsville is a small mountain town in central West Virginia where US Routes 219 and 250 intersect in the Tygart Valley. Route 219 connects north to Elkins (12 miles) and south toward Virginia, while Route 250 links Buckhannon to the northwest. The town sits in classic Appalachian terrain with pronounced seasons and limited EV charging. It once housed West Virginia's state penitentiary before the facility relocated.
