Huttig is a small town in southern Arkansas near the Louisiana border, accessible via US Highway 167. The main route from Little Rock takes Interstate 530 south to US 167, about 120 miles through timber country. From Louisiana, drivers use US 165 north to US 167. The town was founded as a company town by the Huttig Sash and Door Company, and many original company houses still stand along its residential streets.
