Huslia is an isolated Athabascan village of 51 people along the Koyukuk River, 290 miles northwest of Fairbanks. No roads reach the community - access is only by air through Huslia Airport or by boat in summer. The village maintains traditional subsistence practices and operates a fish wheel on the river for salmon fishing.
