Hurst sits between Dallas and Fort Worth in northeast Tarrant County, making it a convenient hub for the metroplex. Highway 183 runs east-west through town, connecting directly to DFW Airport and downtown Dallas, while Highway 121 heads northeast toward the airport and Grapevine. The city is home to the original Salt Traders Coastal Cooking restaurant, which opened here in 1988 and launched the popular seafood chain.
