Huron is a tiny farming town of 70 people in northeastern Kansas, connected by US Highway 59 running north-south and State Route 116 going east-west. It's 15 miles north of Atchison along the Missouri River valley, surrounded by corn and soybean fields on rolling plains. The town keeps its original 1880s street layout, though many lots have reverted to farmland as the population dropped from over 200 residents a century ago.
