Huntington is a small East Texas city of about 4,000 people located 15 miles southwest of Lufkin on US Highway 69. Most visitors arrive via US 69 from Houston (140 miles south) or use State Highway 7 for east-west travel to Nacogdoches or Crockett. The restored 1902 railroad depot on Main Street now serves as a community center.
