Huntingdon is Carroll County's seat in west Tennessee, about 90 miles from both Memphis and Nashville. Highway 22 runs through downtown, connecting to I-40 via Highway 641 south near Camden. Most visitors arrive from I-40 or use Highway 70 from Nashville through Dickson. The town serves as a gateway to Natchez Trace State Park and Kentucky Lake recreation areas. The 1896 courthouse features a distinctive clock tower that's been keeping time for over 125 years.
