Humphrey is a small farming town of 220 people in Arkansas County, about 40 miles southeast of Little Rock via Highway 165 south and Highway 86 west. The community sits in the flat Arkansas River Delta region surrounded by rice fields and cotton farms. Most visitors arrive from Little Rock or Pine Bluff using Highway 165, the main north-south route through the area. The town sits along Crooked Creek, which provided early settlers with transportation access before modern highways.
