Humboldt is a farming town of 732 people about 20 miles northwest of Sioux Falls via I-90 and Highway 38. The drive takes 25 minutes through corn and soybean country along the Big Sioux River valley. Most visitors come for agricultural business or to see family. The town's working grain elevator still dominates the skyline.
