Humboldt is a tiny farming town of 44 people in far northwest Minnesota, just miles from Canada. Highway 171 connects it to Highway 11, the main east-west route across northern Minnesota. The grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a landmark across the flat prairie landscape.
