Humboldt is a small Kansas town on US Highway 169, about 100 miles south of Kansas City. It's a convenient stop between Kansas City and Oklahoma, with State Highway 39 providing connections to Chanute and other area communities. The restored Bowlus Fine Arts Center, originally a 1930s movie theater, anchors the downtown and hosts live performances throughout the year.
