Hubbard is a small farming town in north-central Iowa, about 50 miles north of Des Moines. Take Highway 20 west from I-35 to reach the community of 773 residents. The area is classic Iowa farmland with corn and soybean fields. Most longer trips head to Ames for shopping or Des Moines for flights. The town's water tower proudly displays its 1881 founding date from the railroad era.
