Houston is a small county seat in north-central Mississippi, accessible via Highway 15 running north-south and Highway 8 east-west. Most visitors arrive from Tupelo area via Highway 15 or connect through nearby Pontotoc. The town sits in rolling farmland about 20 miles from Tennessee. The 1908 brick courthouse with its prominent clock tower dominates the historic downtown square.
