Houston is a small Delaware town in Kent County, about 8 miles southwest of Dover via Routes 8 and 384. The community of 456 residents sits along the coastal plain with easy access to US Route 13, Delaware's main north-south highway connecting Wilmington and Maryland. Named after Texas hero Sam Houston, it's one of Delaware's most unexpectedly named places.
