Houston is a tiny Perry County community along Highway 9 in central Arkansas's hill country. The main route follows Highway 9 north from Little Rock (50 miles) through Morrilton, or connects from Petit Jean State Park via Highway 154. Most visitors pass through heading to the state park or Petit Jean Park Airport. The town's post office has operated from the same small building since 1901.
