Hospers is a farming town of about 900 people in northwest Iowa, 20 miles northeast of Sioux Center via Highway 10. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 29 at Sioux City, then drive northwest about 45 miles through agricultural country. The town sits in prime corn and soybean territory with the continental climate typical of the region. Hospers hosts the popular Grassland Days festival each summer, featuring a community barbecue that attracts visitors from across Sioux County.
