Horton is a small farming town in northeastern Kansas, about 20 miles from the Missouri border. US Highway 159 runs right through the center, connecting to Hiawatha and Atchison. Most visitors arrive from Topeka via US-75 north, then west on 159. The town hosts an annual Sunflower Festival each September with a Main Street parade celebrating the region's signature crop.
