Hornsby is a small farming town of about 230 people in southwestern Tennessee's Hardeman County. Located along State Route 18 about 15 miles northeast of Bolivar, it's reached via US 64 from Memphis (60 miles west) or Jackson. The town sits amid rolling cotton fields and pastures typical of rural West Tennessee. Most notable is its location along the old Mobile and Ohio Railroad route, where a small depot once served the local farming community.
