Hollywood is a small coastal city in Charleston County, about 20 miles southwest of Charleston via US Highway 17. The main route is US 17, which connects north to Charleston and south toward Savannah. State Route 162 links east to Folly Beach and James Island. Charleston International Airport is 25 miles northeast. The area features typical Lowcountry scenery with tidal marshes and live oaks, plus the famous 400-year-old Angel Oak Tree on nearby Johns Island.
