Hinton is a small railroad town in southern West Virginia's mountains, about 60 miles from Charleston via I-64 and Route 20. The historic C&O Railway Station, now a museum, sits in the town center where US Route 3 and State Route 20 meet. Raleigh County Memorial Airport near Beckley provides the closest air service, about 30 miles northeast through winding mountain roads.
