Hinton is a small farming town in western Iowa where Highway 75 and Highway 3 intersect, about 30 miles northeast of Sioux City. Most visitors pass through on Highway 75 while traveling between Sioux City and communities farther north. The town sits amid typical Iowa farmland with corn and soybean fields stretching in all directions. Its restored 1900 railroad depot now serves as a historical museum, preserving the community's heritage as a railroad stop.
