Hinckley is a farming town in Utah's Sevier Desert, about 140 miles southwest of Salt Lake City via US-6. Most visitors arrive from the Wasatch Front, taking a scenic mountain route through Spanish Fork Canyon. The town sits along State Route 6, which connects to Delta 15 miles south and continues toward Nevada. At 4,600 feet elevation, it experiences typical high desert conditions with hot summers and snowy winters. The community still operates one of Utah's last one-room schoolhouses for local elementary students.
