Hillsboro is a small Missouri city about 45 miles southwest of St. Louis in Jefferson County. Take I-55 to Exit 174, then Highway 21 south for 8 miles to reach downtown. The city sits in the eastern Ozark foothills where suburban St. Louis meets rural Missouri farmland. Most visitors use Highway 21 as the main north-south route connecting to Arnold and the Missouri wine country. The historic 1865 limestone courthouse dominates the town square and serves as a visible landmark from the main highway.
