Hilbert is a small Wisconsin city of about 1,000 people located between Appleton and the Lake Michigan shore. Highway 10 runs right through town, connecting it west to the Fox Cities and east toward Manitowoc. Most visitors are regional commuters or travelers heading to lakefront destinations, with Interstate 41 about 10 miles west for longer trips. The downtown still follows the original 1890s street grid laid out by German and Polish settlers.
