Highlands is a small Jersey Shore town perched on bluffs above Sandy Hook Bay, about 15 minutes from Red Bank via Route 36. Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 117, then head east on Route 36 to reach this community of 4,500. The town offers water views toward Manhattan and serves as a ferry stop for NYC commuters. The historic Twin Lights lighthouse towers, where Marconi conducted early wireless experiments, dominate the skyline.
