High Bridge is a small Hunterdon County borough about 50 miles west of NYC, accessible via Route 513 from I-78 Exit 17. The town of 3,580 sits along the South Branch Raritan River in hilly piedmont terrain. It's named for a historic 1870s railroad bridge that stood 110 feet above the river, once among New Jersey's highest rail crossings.
