Hideout is a small mountain city of 1,250 people nestled at 6,100 feet elevation along Jordanelle Reservoir in the Wasatch Mountains. Access is via State Route 248 from Park City (10 miles southwest) or from Salt Lake City via I-80 to Kimball Junction, then SR-248 northeast for about 45 minutes total. The town hall still operates from a converted trailer, highlighting Hideout's status as Utah's newest incorporated city since 2008.
