Hickory Ridge is a tiny farming town in Arkansas's delta region, reached via Highway 64 from Wynne or Memphis. The flat agricultural landscape produces cotton and rice under the area's hot, humid summers and mild winters. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 40, exiting at Wynne for the short drive east through farm country. The 1903 post office still serves as the town's informal community center.
