Heyburn is a small farming town in south-central Idaho, right off Interstate 84 about 10 miles east of Burley. Most visitors pass through on I-84 traveling between Salt Lake City and Boise, while locals use State Route 27 for trips to nearby Burley and Rupert. The town sits in potato and sugar beet country along the Snake River Plain, with Burley Municipal Airport 8 miles southwest. The 1917 Heyburn Hotel downtown still stands as a reminder of the area's railroad heritage.
