Hewitt is a suburban city of 16,400 people just south of Waco, easily reached via Interstate 35 or State Highway 6. Most folks here make short commutes to Waco for work and shopping. The town sits in gently rolling Hill Country terrain with scattered oaks and enjoys typical central Texas weather. Midway High School's impressive football stadium dominates the community on Friday nights.
