Hesperia is a small farming community in western Michigan, about 45 miles northwest of Grand Rapids via US-131 and US-31. The town of nearly 1,000 people sits in prime agricultural country known for asparagus and fruit production. Reach it from Chicago by taking I-94 to I-196 to US-31, then county roads west. The annual Asparagus Festival in June celebrates the area's agricultural heritage.
