Herrick is a tiny farming town in central Illinois, about 25 miles southeast of Decatur via Route 16. Most visitors arrive on day trips from Decatur or while traveling Route 16 between larger cities. The town of 333 people sits in classic prairie farmland, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Its towering grain elevator remains visible for miles across the flat landscape.
