Herman is a small Nebraska town of 360 people located about 30 miles northwest of Omaha in Washington County. Take Highway 30 west from Blair for the most direct 12-mile route, or drive I-680 north from Omaha to Highway 30. The town sits among rolling farmland typical of the Missouri River valley region. Herman's 1901 Union Pacific Railroad depot still stands as a testament to its railroad heritage.
