Henderson is North Carolina's Vance County seat, located 45 miles northeast of Raleigh via I-85. The city sits in rolling Piedmont tobacco country near the Virginia border. The historic courthouse square features a distinctive 1881 Second Empire courthouse with a prominent clock tower.
