Hemlock is a tiny Perry County community of 255 people in southeastern Ohio's hill country. Most visitors drive State Route 345 from Lancaster (via US-33 and Route 37) or north from Athens on Route 13. The rural roads wind through forests and farmland between the Hocking River valley and Appalachian foothills. A historic 1920s one-lane bridge carries traffic over Raccoon Creek right through town.
